Had a great time at Saratoga yesterday. Met JoeB and chatted for a couple of races. Real nice guy. Pleasure meeting you, Joe.
Didn't have much luck at the betting windows. I knew that my handicapping would be at a big disadvantage when they ruled all races off the turf. I posted the #1 horse in the Whitney here and said I used him up and down in exactas with several hoses. The #11 (6-1) was one of them. He won easily and it looked like the #1 had driven into second alone until he got nailed about a stride before the wire. So the #1 finished third, killing my big exacta, and assuring that I would not make money yesterday.
Oh well. Met Joe and other friends who came in from Jersey and Western Mass. Also had a lot of laughs with my track buddy, Jerry and my brother in law, Guy. I'll win the money back on my next trip. I hope!
